May God help us all through the pain only those who have walked in our shoes could possibly know. My prayers and sympathy are with you this holiday season. I am holding Dana in my heart. May justice be served, even though it is never enough. People get more time for less serious crimes then they do for murder. We are getting ready to face the courts in the 2nd degree murder of my niece, and even if we win in court ( HE claims accidental shooting) it will be a hollow victory, in Tn. I think maybe 15-25 years, out sooner with good behavior. I feel for you Cindy and what you have and are going through with the system, unbelievable! We are finding out the criminal has more rights than the victim, and when this is all over in the courts for us, my crusade in life is to change the way victims are treated, and be allowed to bring up bad character, past offenses to a certain degree, and let the family be allowed to make victim impact statements BEFORE the jury deliberates. I know I am talking crazy now, but this murder of my precious niece has made me (an upstanding, taxpaying citizen) a little crazy!! (sorry) Just know I am thinking about you. Jo
